It was June 12, 2010,  the Saturday of the big Franklin Volunteer Fireman's Carnival.  Eddie and Chloe had decided to spend the evening hanging out at the carnival.   My friend Brandi and I were in Petersburg but decided to head to Franklin for the evening to check out the carnival.  After strolling around the carnival grounds I spotted my friend Darren and Brandi and I headed over to say hi.  We were discussing the mechanical bull when Eddie wandered over to chat with Darren.  After riding the mechanical bull, Brandi decides she wants to check out the local Moose.  It was at that point Eddie gave us his cell number and told us if we needed a ride to give him a call.  To make a long story short, Eddie joined us at the Moose and then we all headed back to the park to hang out with the bikers that were spending the weekend and sit around the campfire.  The next morning Eddie added me as a friend on facebook and the rest is history.  :)

For Christmas 2009 my sister Carrie surprised my mom and I with a cruise to the Bahamas in May 2011.  I had already moved in with Eddie and was really not looking forward to leaving for 5 days.  We had a great time on the cruise, but the best day of all was the day we returned.  Eddie met us in Staunton, VA where we all had lunch together and then Mom, Carrie, and Derek headed home while Eddie and I headed to the mall for a little bit before picking up Chloe.  On the drive there, Eddie handed me a brown Ace Hardware bag and said, "Here, I got you something."  I couldnt figure out what in the world was in the bag..the only thing I could come up with was hooks to hang up my flowers on the porch.  When I opened the bag there was a little square box and when I opened it I found the most beautiful diamond ring I have ever seen!  I wasnt sure what to think...he hadnt asked if I would marry him or anything...so, just to be sure I asked "Is this just a ring?" He laughed at me and said no....but of course, I said Yes!

Our wedding is planned for Sunday, April 1st.  No its not an April Fool.  When deciding on the date I told Eddie I didnt want to be hot in my dress so we decided on April and I told him it would have to be early...His response?  It doesnt get any earlier that the 1st.  Thus, Sunday, April 1st it is!  It will take place at Faith Lutheran Church at 2pm.  A reception will follow at Thorn Spring Park.
