We are so excited about getting married in Northampton, Massachusetts surrounded by our family and friends at the Quaker Meeting House followed by a reception at the Hotel Northampton.

To our amazing family and friends, we are so grateful to have you all in our lives! We love you and want to thank you for everything you have done for us. You all have made this possible. Thank you for joining us on our special day.

We are so excited - we just booked our plane tickets to Florence!! Our honeymoon dates are April 27-May 6.

Basilica di San Lorenzo

We’ll tour the Basilica di San Lorenzo while honeymooning in Florence! The renaissance architecture is full of surprises like intricately designed bronze Donatello doors welcoming us into a spacious sanctuary where Brunelleschi’s clean lines of dark pietra serena form a striking contrast to the light stucco backdrop!

Da Vinci’s Birthplace

Our honeymoon in Florence will not be complete without a visit to Leonardo da Vinci’s birthplace! We’ll travel down a small country road to an old farmhouse in the town of Anchiano where Da Vinci was born in April of 1452 and visit the town of Vinci to see the chapel where he was christened.

On this tour, we’ll visit the birthplace of the Renaissance buried deep within Florence’s historic center. We’ll explore the home of the poet Dante, whose unbridled love of language spurred future Florentines to follow their artistic and intellectual passions!

Day Trip To The Leaning Tower Of Pisa

We will tour through the fertile and picturesque Tuscan countryside towards the historic university city of Pisa. We'll take the panoramic drive along the Arno embankments, visit the Piazza dei Miracoli famous for the celebrated Leaning Tower and unequalled masterpieces of Romanesque art, carried out between the 11th and 12th centuries. We can’t wait to explore the quintessential wine region of Tuscany! Learning about the history of this very distinctive and historical wine making region of Italy, our guides will share their vast knowledge of wine and more important, offer us a sampling of some their favorites. Tuscany is not only famous for its wine but also its olive oil. We will taste some of the famous Crostini Toscano as we learn why extra virgin olive oil plays such an important role in Italian cuisine!

Florence city tour

We will stroll along the city's political heart, flanked by the Palazzo Vecchio, Florence town hall and the Uffizi Gallery one of Italy's leading art galleries. We'll visit the church of the Santa Croce home to frescoes by Giotto and tombs of some of Florence's greatest men : Michelangelo, Machiavelli, Galileo and Rossini, and no visit would be complete without a tour of the Gallery of the Academy with the original masterpiece David by Michelangelo.

This museum holds the world's most important collection of Renaissance art. The Uffizi holds thousands of paintings from medieval to modern times and many antique sculptures, illuminations, and tapestries. Museum and tour visit to Santa Croce

Santa Croce, in Piazza Santa Croce, is the largest Franciscan church in Italy and holds the tombs of several important Florentines including Michelangelo and Dante. The vast interior contains some exceptional stained glass windows and frescoes. One of Brunelleschi's most important works, the Cappella dei Pazzi, is in Santa Croce. Admission includes the museum and tours.

Museum visit & lunch at the Galeria dell' Accademia

One of the most important museums in the world, the Accademia is most famous for its art works by Michelangelo, in particular the large “David” sculpture, which was given a full restoration from 2002 to 2004. In addition to this statue, there are also unfinished sculptures of the “Four Prisoners” which Michelangelo designed for the tomb of Pope Julius II. Throughout the rest of the gallery are displays of art from the 13th-16th centuries, a collection of musical instruments, and pieces by other Renaissance artists, including Andrea del Sarto and Giambologna.

We’ll visit this Florentine jewel on our honeymoon! This pharmacy displays the results of more than 800 years of work by Dominican monks who call it home. Following centuries-old formulas, the shop sells ancient remedies and tonics alongside hand-molded soaps and perfumes powders so we can take some of them home with us!
