Our Story

We met in September of 2008 at their good friends Sophie and James Pfister's wedding in Chicago. After spending half the night looking at each other from across the room we finally began talking and never stopped. Tom flew back to Baltimore on Monday and by Wednesday Jodie had already bought her first plane ticket to Baltimore for that Friday! The morning Jodie was supposed to fly out Midway airport was flooded and all flights were cancelled. Tom called Jodie at work to tell her that it was cancelled but that he had already booked her a new flight out of Ohare airport leaving about the same time. (On Jose's credit card, thanks Jose!)
After that weekend we flew back and fourth to see each other for 6 more months until we decided we couldn't stand living so far apart. On St Patty's day weekend Jodie and Tom drove all Jodie's things 811 miles to Baltimore and moved her into his house.
Another 6 months later on Tom's birthday they went back to Chicago and stayed at the Renaissance where they had met. Tom surprised Jodie with a private dinner from the Executive Sous Chef Robbert Sikkila in a suite. After an awesome dinner with a sommieler (Tony) and fantastic server (James) Tom took Jodie down to the terrace, the same place they met and asked her to marry him. She said YES! and James and Tony ran out with champagne!
Now less than a year later we will be married! Its been an amazing 2 years. Thanks to everyone that supported us, we love you and wouldn't be here together today without you!

Our Wedding

On August 29, 2010 we are getting married!!!! Our Wedding is located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in Oxford, a small town on the Chesapeake Bay. The ceremony and reception are to be held at Combsberry Inn, a manor built in 1716 sitting on 35 beautiful acres on the Bay. The ceremony will take place on the shore front with the reception to follow by the Manor's beautifully refinshed barn. It is outside...in Maryland...in August...so please dress for the heat. It is also on grass so ladies I would skip the heels. We want you to come and have a relaxing evening with friends and family, no formality.
There will be a shuttle picking up at 4 pm and 4:30 pm in Easton at the Holiday Inn Express and the Hampton Inn. The shuttle will be bringing guests back at 11:00 and 11:30 pm after the reception.

Travel Arrangements

We are spending our honeymoon in Wine Country! We will be in Napa Valley for 5 days , 3 days at the El Dorado Hotel in Sonoma and 1 night at River's End Inn on the Sonoma coast in Jenner. We are planning wine tours and tastings and festivals, romantic dinners and lots of other fun stuff!
