We got engaged on Feb 27th while we were at dinner at Prime Steakhouse before we went to the Emerson Drive concert. I thought he was joking!!! LMAO Then he shook me b/c I was laughing & looked REALLY serious...Obviosly I said yes after the confusion passed.

We are getting married in Augusta, MO @ Mount Pleasant Winery @ 11 o'clock in the morning. Only a short distance from St. Louis, Mount Pleasant Winery is located at 5634 High Street in the heart of Missouri wine country. High on the bluffs above the Missouri River valley, the view is unmatched and our extended grounds provide ample space for events or just a quite space to relax with award winning wines.
The winery offers a calm, friendly experience that is quite the opposite of the daily hustle and bustle of the city. Treat yourself to a trip to Mount Pleasant Winery, tour the limestone cellars and taste our international award-winning "estate bottled' wines and ports. Then settle down on the patio with its majestic view and enjoy a bottle of your favorite wine and delicious picnic fare from the Mount Pleasant grocery and grill.

Augusta, Mo. is located on the bluffs above the Missouri River Valley, a scenic 35 mile drive from St. Louis. Augusta is an unpretentious community where folks still work and live, where people still hang clothes on lines to dry, gather at churches for socials, where children still play at the town square, where fathers meet across the street at the tavern to play horseshoes, and families come together at the ball diamond to cheer their team on to glory.
Visitors can enjoy the flavors of the community while strolling around this quaint village - it's the way the world used to be and visiting families seem to enjoy it that way. There are many ways to relax in Augusta. For instance, you may fancy a bicycle ride on the Katy Trail. The scenic Katy Trail is the longest "National Rails-to-Trails" project.
Also in the area is the Daniel Boone Home and The Lewis & Clark Trail giving visitors yet another facet of entertainment to enjoy their stay.
Augusta, Missouri is home to several excellent Missouri wineries where visitors can sip the vintner's special wines and enjoy picnic lunches with spectacular views of the rolling hillside vineyards. New to the area is the Augusta Micro Brewery offering a variety of selections unique to the area. A walk through town will uncover unique specialty shops, B&Bs, restaurants and bakeries. Special events are hosted year round by local businesses and towns people. However you choose to spend your leisure time, you will find a special experience awaits.
There are 6 cabins available in Klondike Park for $65 per night. They are not fancy cabins (kinda like a glorified tent) BUT they sleep up to 8 people & are right in the midst of the events :)There are also tent campsites...as of right now all are available for that weekend. The website to look at & book these is www.stccparks.org
There are a few hotels 10 miles away from Defiance in St. Charles. IDK if they will give a group discount. If you all decide to go that way let me know & I will check on it.
Holiday Inn Express $80 636-300-4844
Wingate Inn $80 636-329-8503
Comfort Inn $70 636-530-1200
There are quite a few B&B. I suggest if you wanna go that way to look at them on the internet. I did think a few of them looked cool.
