What are the two types of registry service that you offer?
HoneyLuna offers our “original” full service honeymoon registry and our “free” honeymoon registry.
With our full service registry, HoneyLuna creates the gift registry for you — itemizing your honeymoon into specific pieces and including enticing descriptions of your honeymoon gifts. We do all the work so you don’t have to!

Why should we use HoneyLuna?
For your honeymoon registry:
Our customized service is the least stressful way to plan your honeymoon
and register for the most special of wedding gifts—your
honeymoon!
Everything we do, from creating and customizing
your honeymoon registry, to our beautiful gift acknowledgments,
is all done to make your wedding gifts special and memorable for
both you and your gift purchaser.
For your friends and family:
Your friends and family will love this service because they are
giving you something tangible that they know you will enjoy and
appreciate forever. They also know that you won't be returning it
to the department store!
For travel:
HoneyLuna specializes in honeymoons. We are the honeymoon experts
because that is all we do.

Do
you charge a travel consulting fee?
If you plan a honeymoon that can be booked as
a package through a wholesaler or through our reservation system,
no extra travel consulting fee is incurred unless your request requires more than two quotes.
We would like to assist you as much as possible in planning your honeymoon itinerary. To help keep your costs to a minimum, we recommend that you have a fairly good idea of your honeymoon budget and desired destination. We do provide the first two itinerary or destination quotes free of charge; after that, we may need to apply a travel consulting fee of $25 per hour due to the intensive nature of research and travel quotes.
Examples of packages that we can book through a wholesaler or our reservation system include air, car and hotel to Hawaii; air, hotels and activities
in Tahiti; or even safaris and air/hotel
packages to Europe! The majority of our couples' honeymoons fall
in this category.
If you would like a more customized itinerary
(e.g., small bed and breakfasts throughout the Northwest, villas
and small inns throughout Italy, or bed and breakfasts throughout
France) that cannot be booked through our reservation system or
through a package wholesaler, then a consulting fee will be charged.
We would like to provide these extra services at no charge; however,
this fee is necessary due to the extra time and expense involved
in creating independent itineraries.
The fee is a $25 per hour consulting, research
and international call/fax fee. The minimum charge is 2 hours, ($50
total) and in most cases, is sufficient time to plan custom itineraries.
If our research is to exceed 2 hours, we contact you and request
approval of the additional time.
You also have the option of researching and reserving
small hotels and bed and breakfasts yourself and providing us with
the details to include in your registry. In this case, no consulting
fee would be applied.

What
if our whole honeymoon isn’t paid for through our registry?
Ultimately, you are responsible for paying for
the “core pieces” of your honeymoon which are not purchased
by your friends and family (e.g., air, hotel, lodging).
You are under no obligation to do or pay for
extra activities that are not pre-purchased (e.g., horseback riding,
sunset dinner cruises, snorkeling).

How
do we let family & friends know we’re registered?
With our full service registry, we provide you with an initial supply of up to
100* registry notification postcards.
These cards explain what a honeymoon registry is and provide our
website address and toll-free number for your family and friends.
 The
cards are 4x3 inches and can be included in your invitation.
HoneyLuna customers opting for our free service may purchase these cards for 10 cents/ each plus $4.60 shipping (priority mail).

All HoneyLuna customers can also use our automated email system to email a registry announcement, and follow up announcements, to your family and friends.
*For requests of more than
100, a $0.10 per card fee is charged.

Can
you assist us with our travel arrangements?
Yes. We can obtain discounted rates, reduced
fares, etc., just as any other travel agency does.

Do
you make all the arrangements for extracurricular activities?
We do not automatically make reservations for
extracurricular activities, e.g., snorkeling, dinner cruises, picnics,
massages, horseback riding, tours and the like. Rather, we simply
collect the gift payments and provide a lump-sum payment to the
couple prior to their honeymoon. Couples have the flexibility to
use these funds to finance the activities they choose to do while
on their honeymoon.
If couples desire to have some of their activities
reserved, we will happily book those activities by request. Because
gift payments may not be received prior to our making reservations,
couples may be required to provide funds or a credit card to meet any prepayment
obligations.

What
kind of “packages” do you offer?
If you opt for our full service honeymoon registry, we can assist you with you honeymoon travel planning. All of our honeymoons are personalized for each
couple. For examples of the types of trips we've planned for couples,
view our online
sample registries. We work with you to design your perfect
honeymoon and do not require you to select “canned” packages.

Do
we have to use your travel services?
If you opt for our full service honeymoon registry, we can assist you with you honeymoon travel planning. However, you are free to use a travel agent of your choice.
After your itinerary is set with your travel agent, we can then
begin working with you on your registry. Please note that a higher
registry set-up fee will apply if we are not making your arrangements.

for your service?

Our “free” honeymoon registry service is FREE to the wedding couple. Our Full Service registry does have a set up fee. Please read on to learn more about our fees.
SPECIAL DEAL! If HoneyLuna books your travel for you (minimum of air/hotel package), pay only $100 for our personalized consultation and set-up of your honeymoon registry.
FULL SERVICE PRICE: If you book your own travel but want HoneyLuna to provide personalized consultation for your trip and create your registry for you, we charge a one-time set-up fee of $150.
The setup fee helps cover our costs for setting up and maintaining your registry. These costs include but are not limited to:
Time and cost to personalize your registry and research trip options
for you.
Posting your registry to our site and maintaining it through our
web hosting vendor
Providing a supply of up to 100 registry cards for you to give to
your family and friends to tell them about your online registry.
For requests of more than 100 cards, a $0.10 per card charge is
applied.
Making travel arrangements and reserving lodging and activities
for your honeymoon if you select us to arrange your travel.
Also, to help cover the ongoing expense of administering your registry and providing full services to your and your guests, a 15% service fee is incorporated into the registry itself. This charge is included in the cost of the gift and is covered by the gift purchaser. We only “earn” this fee when the gift is purchased.
For the gifts that are not purchased from your website, the bridal couple does not pay the 15% service fee.
FOR OUR FREE SERVICE: Access to our technology to create your own honeymoon registry is FREE* to the wedding couple.
*To help cover the expense of administering your registry and providing our great service, a 9% service fee is incorporated into the registry itself. This charge is included in the cost of the gift and is covered by the gift purchaser. We only “earn” this fee when the gift is purchased.
For the gifts that are not purchased from your website, the bridal couple does not pay the 9% service fee.

is the service fee

itself. This charge is included in the cost of the gift and is covered
by the gift purchaser. We only “earn” this fee when the
gift is purchased. The services covered by this fee include but
are not limited to:

Gift acknowledgments
Final gift list for wedding couple
For the gifts that are not purchased from your

When do we receive the funds from our registry account?
Generally, HoneyLuna sends couples a check for the gift dollars in their HoneyLuna account 10 days prior to the honeymoon departure date. This first check represents the dollars in the account to that point.
The account remains open for all those "last minute" gifts. You can view these last minute gifts online prior to your departure, and a second check for those last minute gifts will be mailed after the honeymoon.
PLEASE NOTE:HoneyLuna does not automatically make reservations for extracurricular activities, e.g., snorkeling, dinner cruises, picnics, massages, horseback riding, tours and the like.
Rather, we simply collect the gift payments and provide a lump-sum payment to the couple prior to their honeymoon. This gives couples more flexibility to use funds to finance the activities they choose to do while on their honeymoon (rather than locking couples in to set dates and activities).
